'Get Mentoring' to energise you and your business

One of the real benefits of Colleagues on Tap co-working days is the opportunity to work alongside other business people for the day who are not only focused on their own business, but who are genuinely keen to help you in your business too.
Although chatting with fellow co-workers about their businesses doesn't necessarily class as formal mentoring, having the opportunity to talk through ideas, problems and opportunities can really help, particularly if you're usually working on your own.
We believe there's an inate desire in most of us to help other people, and as well as making a huge difference to the recipient of your enthusiasm, knowledge or advice, it can also energise you and your own business too.
So! Space on Tap has teamed up with Blue Sky Thinking so you can get mentoring through finding out more about being a mentor - the whys and the wherefores - and having the confidence to know you're adding value. This free 3 hour session aims to help you to recognise that no matter what experience you have, or how long you've been in business, and whatever type of business you run, someone out there would benefit from your input.
As an added bonus you'll receive a formal recognition after the session from SFEDI, and free inclusion on a national mentoring register for a year if that's of interest. Perhaps more importantly, though, you'll also gain the confidence to recognise the value you can bring as a mentor, and be given some ideas about how you might get involved in mentoring your business peers in the future, formally or informally; it's also hoped that you will provide some mentoring support to your peers voluntarily for only an hour a month after this free session.
The 3 hour session will be held at the Tyneside Cinema in Newcastle City Centre and will commence at 5.30 pm (food and refreshments will be available on arrival). Remember there's free parking available in Newcastle after 5!
